First you can tell what kind of connection you have by looking in the bottom right tool bar of your screen, and put your mouse on the network icon. And it will tell you either that you are not connected or that you have Limited or No Connectivity, so you can go right to the section that pertains to you.

You have not connection at all.

If you have no connection at all then you problem may just lye in your network adapter card. So I want you to check to make sure that the card itself is securely inserted into the PCI slot. You don't need to put a lot of pressure on it, because if it is in there correctly you are increasing the risk of breaking the card or the slot, so be careful.

Your connection is Limited or No Connectivity.

Alright so you have some connection but it is such a weak signal that you are not able to get onto the internet. So there is a good chance that your wireless network profile is incorrect or that you are connected to the wrong access points. Or maybe the router and the adapter have the same security settings, so you will need to check your SSID, and your encryption key have the same settings. All of these problems are easy to fix.

If all else fails you can always disconnect your wireless network and start from the beginning. and reinstalling everything usually is the fix that you have been searching for this is because generally the problem is due to a missed connection somewhere. So begin disconnecting your entire wireless network and don't forget to uninstall the software as well. You will then begin reconnecting your wireless network as if it was never installed on your computer before.
