How To Fix A Wireless NetworkSo you are having trouble with your internet, and you want to know how to fix a wireless network connection. Technology has its advantages and it's disadvantages, thank god the good out weighs the bad. But it doesn't always feel that way when you are struggling to figure out how to correct a wireless internet connection. There are many things that will interfere with your wireless signal, and the main cause is a cordless phone. This is because a cordless telephone uses the same gig hertz that your wireless router uses. It took me about a weak to figure out this problem. Every time I was on the phone the internet would go down. So I finally for some reason pulled out the box that it came in and saw 2.4Ghz, so I rushed right out to Bestbuy and picked up a 900-Mhz cordless phone, and my problems were solved. Other things that will interfere with your wireless network signal is microwaves, cell phones, brick walls, steel walls, and other devices that may use the same 2.4Ghz. So you are going to need to figure out what it may be. Maybe that is not any of those listed above, it can be that your wireless network adapter is not able to obtain an IP address on it's own. And this might be because this option is disabled in your wireless router. This is generally when you are getting a Limited or No Connectivity signal. So look to see if the DHCP component on your router is disable, if it is then you will need to enable it and then restart your computer so that it can obtain an IP address automatically. Alright you may have done this already, but I am just going to say it. Try pressing the reset button on your router so that you can reset the router to it's default settings. You will need to hold this button down with a paperclip for the recommended amount of seconds for the type of router that you have. Maybe you were in the configurations and you accidentally changed something and that is causing you to have these problems. Hey it's worth a shot isn't it? When you are figuring out how to fix a wireless network it's important that you keep notes so you know what you tried and what you haven't, because there is nothing worse then fixing the network and then forgetting what you did to get it to work. At least this way if it happens again you know exactly what you need to do.
